Welcome to Inkblots!
As you see, we are still working on this site and it's companion site, Inkblots Forum. Please be patient with us as we set everything up. Before you know it, we'll have it all set and it will be our pleasure to welcome you to our forum and inviting you to read the work of your fellow reading and writing enthusiasts.
For now, let me list a few important facts about who we are and what we're doing here.
1. Laurie Wipperfurth and I have found our collaboration over the years to be so useful, we want to spread around the love.
2. To that end, we've created Inkblots and Inkblots Forum so that writers and readers can share ideas, opinions, and screams. Hopefully, screams of triumph will outnumber those of frustration but we are writers and frustration is sometimes inevitable.
3. Writing has long been considered a solitary pursuit. We believe that total isolation isn't an actual requirement. I mean, if it's what you like, go for it. Whatever flaps your flag, says I. But we prefer a network of support.
4. We're looking forward to the opportunity to read the work of other writers and talk about what we've read. We're also eager to show you some of our own pieces and get your thoughts.
5. Oh! And one more thing we're pretty excited about! It will be our honor and pleasure to feature various pieces shared by writers on the Inkblots Forum. A couple times each month, we'll post one of the most popular or most talked about pieces from our critique forums here on the Inkblots blog for everyone to enjoy.
With all of that swirling around in our plans, along with nifty ideas for guest bloggers and so on, you can imagine it might take us a little while longer to get everything shipshape in Bristol fashion. Of course, if you've any suggestions or any comments, now is as good a time as any to let us know.
Looking forward to so much!
~ Sandy
